We have developed an entirely new software package designed specifically for our sailors using Cruise 3.0 and 6.0 models. And best of all – this software update is completely free, even if your motor is no longer under warranty.
This update not only addresses existing issues, but it also brings a range of benefits. One of the significant enhancements is a stronger protection against electrical damage to the motor PCB. We have incorporated a more comprehensive defense mechanism that effectively handles current spikes caused by contact with underwater objects, such as the seabed, debris, ropes, or plants.
The software update is performed at no cost at the Torqeedo Service Center in Kalvehave. This includes motors purchased online or from other dealers, as they are also covered by this free mandatory update. Alternatively, the update can be performed at your own location for a fee.
We recommend all Cruise 3.0 and 6.0 owners to have their motors updated, as this will enhance your sailing experience with Torqeedo.
